Closed species !

Well, Minorel has won my last poll leatenshi.deviantart.com/journ… so I worked a bit on their features and story >w<
I'll work on the others and submit them later

History :

From the Middle Ages to modern days, those creatures always been admired for their bravery.
Minorels were used in the ancient Greece as opponents to the gladiators, and eventually used against lions and other big animals, we can see a lot of old engravings and sculptures of them, after this time they were usually used as pets by kings and emperors of all times. Nowadays, they're more luxury pets.
They are hard to tame and are rather wild, but once tamed they show strong faith to their owner. Though the truth must me shared, otherwise the Minorel goes back to wild life and search for another truthfully owner or simply stay living outside.


Physical look :

They have two forms : a normal form and a mystic form

In both forms, they got a long squirrel-like tail tails. Their front paws can vary while their back legs always have deer-like hooves.
Their body is rather fluffy, they don't like hot weather too much. Forest, mountains, wide plains with tall grass are their favorite place to live in the wild. 

In normal form, they have the size of an average medium dog, they have rather herbivorous teeth, a small cat-like nose. They are fluffy, their squirrel-like look make people think "Oh so cute I want to take it home". As said before, they can live in a house, just be careful and take good care of it. They are really demanding and need lots of affection and attention.

In mystic form, they become way bigger and can reach the size of an average horse. They get sharp carnivorous teeth. They switch to this form to fight, protect their owner/friends/territory, to intimidate, or to show their strength to others.
In this form, they have the ability to breath a kind of mist, which is the opposite color of their markings. It seems like it's a kind of poisonous vapor.

In this form, their base color become pure white, whatever was their original colors. Their markings take the color of their eyes (eyes that turn black) but stay similar, except some swirls that appear on their shoulders, and sometimes on the back, legs, tail, etc...

In mystic form, some tufts of fur appear on the body (a bit Okami styled) : 
= on the elbow / back legs
= On the wrists / paws

Colors and markings

 The colors showed in the refs are just examples

Base color
Natural base and markings color, such as grey, brown, black, tan, etc... 
Unsaturated colors, not neon ! Every grey-ish colors and dark colors. 
Pastel and light colors
Pure white base 

Markings
= natural kind of markings (spots, dots, stripes, gradient,...) with natural colors
= natural kind of markings but colored (grey-ish/unsaturated colors)
= shaped markings (hearts, stars, squares,...)
= any kind of markings with neon colors


Ears :

Their hearing is pretty well

Paws :

They walk and run pretty much often, their legs are really strong, they are really resistant but not that fast

Tongue :

The tongue is used to test food, but can be used to clean themselves (like cats)

Eyes :

Their eyesight is really good, from what we know, they do see colors like humans and their eyesight can be compared to eagles' one
Eyes are always bright/neon colored but always totally turn black in mystic form
They have the colors of the mystic form's markings


Extra :

They can wear almost any kind of accessories, even in the wild, from natural things (leaves, flowers,...) to modern human accessories (scarfs, ties, piercings,...)

They can have hair, but this is really rare and never seen in the wild

One of the oldest statue of a Minorel was wearing an armor in its mystic form, some owners try to get their Minorels those armors but they don't usually like it and will try to put it off quickly 

Some people pretend to have seen some Minorels with wings !

Customs
Base price for customs would be 300, including any common features
Uncommon features will cost 50 extra points
Rare features will cost 100 extra points
Very rare features will cost 350 (high to keep these rare)
Legendary features can't be ordered with customs, they will be available in special adopts or special events

Customs are open for the moment, if anyone is interested xD

I wanted to share my species, even if no one like them, they're used in my stories/comics anyways xD 
They were basically squirrel/wolf/goat hybrids xDD I developed their history a bit, I immediately thought about gladiators *^*
